  20.     I suspect that depends on the OS and how down and dirty LW gets in 
  21. that respect.  With most versions of UNIX that support threads, thread and
  22. process scheduling is normally transparent to the application and the application
  23. must specifically do some gyrations to associate different threads of execution
  24. to specific processors.  I can't speak for NT because I have not gotten to play with
  25. it yet.  I suspect, though, that NT probably does something similar with the OS
  26. doing default load balancing on the gross level based on the "busyness" level of
  27. each cpu as a function of time.  YMMV.
