    I suspect that depends on the OS and how down and dirty LW gets in
that respect.  With most versions of UNIX that support threads, thread and
process scheduling is normally transparent to the application and the application
must specifically do some gyrations to associate different threads of execution
to specific processors.  I can't speak for NT because I have not gotten to play with
it yet.  I suspect, though, that NT probably does something similar with the OS
doing default load balancing on the gross level based on the "busyness" level of
each cpu as a function of time.  YMMV.
